We have a network of farmers that raise poultry for us to our high sandards and practices. We provide high quality USDA processing and a sales outlet for them, allowing them to concentrate on their farming operations. Our products are sold in several states. In Colorado, our products are sold exclusively through Eastern Plains Natural Foods, in Bennett Colorado. Practices (our standards for raising or making our products) We only raise genuine heritage breed poultry, no commercial, industrial or otherwise 'improved' breeds. All animals are raised natrally and humanely on pasture without the use of antibiotics, hormones, or other chemical additives. The poultry feed ration is totally vegetarian without any animal by-prodcts in the formula. All the birds forage for a great deal of their food and the use of formulated feed is minimized. All the animals are processed at a USDA Inspected processing plant, utilizing the air-chilled processing method so there is no added water during processing. Additional Information All our farming operations are audited by Animal Welfare Institute to ensure the animals are raised following accepted humane practices. Humane treatment of animals raised for consumption is a primary concern for our operation. |
