I will have brown eggs of various sizes. They will be gathered daily and cooled in a cooler. I will also have garden produce (mother Nature willing) About Us My farm is near Edson, Ks where it is flat and open. I now have to make this farm help me survive. I lost my husband and youngest son within a year and a half of each other and my other two boys are in college. I have 40 acres of grass land that is not sprayed with herbacides or pestacides. Therefore the animals and I are not exposed to any toxic chemicals. The garden is organically grown produce. Since I have to work outside the farm to make ends meet I decided to have hens. They do not require someone to be there 24/7. I have had experience raising broiler chickens and would never go back to raising chickens in this manner. I enjoy watching the chickens run and pick at what ever they can find to entertain themselves. Browse through our Products for Sale Practices (our standards for raising or making our products) My Rhoad Island Reds and New Hampshire Reds run free as they please and are able to scratch and pick where ever they would like and have three dogs that protect them from forign critters that some times invade the property. I also use them for a natural pesticide in the garden and the surroundings of the farm. |
